“One of my favorite galleries anywhere. What’s not to like? Start with a beautifully-restored historic building in a historic district, add a selection of excellent multi-media fine artists, mix in wonderful curators, and then “cozy up” the place – voila! You’ve got Vertu! Definitely worth a special trip!”

“Vertu is a wonderful Gallery, with wonderful owners, outstanding art and artists, and a reflection of all that fine art offers.”

“As an artist herself, Georgette couldn’t be more in tune with the challenges artists face in getting their work in front of the public. Georgette and her husband, Prescott, having run a successful gallery on the East coast, know how to show work from talented regional and national caliber artists. They are taking the lead in making Socorro an arts destination by working tirelessly to promote the arts through the City of Socorro, the Socorro County Chamber of Commerce and through statewide advertising. What is special about New Mexico and the West shows up in their gallery in paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, fibre arts, woodwork and other expressions of the human condition. Patronize them now, not only to feed your soul, but to be able to say that you bought from them when few people had heard of Vertu Arts Gallery.”

“Delightful visit. Impressive, especially the pine needle baskets by LaMoyne McCaulley. Gallery is located on Socorro’s historic plaza next to M. Mountain Coffee serving delicious Dancing Goats coffee.”

“A beautifully compact – and well designed – gallery full of local artists’ works. The owner displays her own works which are beautifully done and framed – obviously a very talented and accomplished artist. Gallery is located on the “town square” with longtime Socorro standards like M Mountain Coffee and The Capitol Bar, all facing a beautiful tree-shaded park. Very much worth a visit to enjoy talented local artists – paintings, ceramics, jewelry, woodturnings and so forth.”

“A chance visit to Vertu during an overnight stay in Socorro was a pleasant surprise. The gallery artists are presented in a professional manner and the quality of art is superb.
