"Heaven and Earth"
Opened September 30th; ran throughNovember 1st, 2015
Opening reception was October 9th, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Emmy-award winning photographer Tom Irion’s solo show titled
“Heaven and Earth” was inspired by two quotes, one from Edward
Weston, “New Mexico is where the Heavens and the Earth become one”, and
the other from the Gospel of Thomas: “Heaven is spread out upon the earth,
but people don’t see it”. See Tom's work here.
Tom says he couldn't agree more with those quotes. “They don't call this place ‘The Land of Enchantment’ for nothing. It's turned out to be the perfect place for me.”
The reception served not only as a celebration of Tom's wonderful works, but also helped celebrate the inception of the gallery in its great new space on Socorro’s historic plaza. The reception, was catered by the Bodega Burger Co.
